Briston is a village 4 miles to the south of the North Norfolk town of Holt. Immediately to the west of Briston lies the village of Melton Constable. The village has a primary school, together with a selection of shops, including grocers and butchers. A larger selection of shops, including supermarkets are located in the nearby market towns. Higher schools are located in Aylsham and Fakenham.
The village has its own sports and social club, other recreational pursuits can be carried out at the towns of Holt, Fakenham and Aylsham. The North Norfolk Coast is reached by road via Holt.
